Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are looking for a PRN MRI Technologist to conduct diagnostic imaging procedures using MRI technology. This role includes ensuring quality control in the MRI department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, including patient positioning and technical preparation.
  • Manage the Radiology Information System (RIS) for scheduling and tracking exams.
  • Oversee the proper functioning of all MRI-related equipment.
  • Exhibit enthusiasm and professionalism in all work assignments.
  • Assess situations effectively and determine appropriate actions.
  • Provide care to patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiology program.
  • Prior experience in an outpatient MRI setting is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Must obtain one of the following certifications within six months of hire: ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT, along with current CPR certification.
  • Preferred: Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Certification from the Texas Department of Health.
