About The Cigna Group Sales and Contracting Development Program

The Cigna Group's Sales and Contracting Development Program is an intensive multi-week training program designed for early career hires, focused on developing business acumen, negotiation, and relationship building skills required to quickly onboard and contribute to The Cigna Group's focus on high quality, affordable healthcare.

Program Overview

The program has two strategic tracks, the Sales Track and Network Track, to onboard The Cigna Group's next generation of client and provider facing Sales and Network Professionals.

Program Structure

The program includes a blend of virtual classroom, in-person training, field-based learning activities, mentoring, and coaching. The curriculum covers topics such as The Cigna Group and Cigna Healthcare, the insurance industry, functional elements, and specific role-based training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with insurance brokers and clients.
  • Go Local and engage with the communities served.
  • Know the product and promote Cigna's product suite and services.
  • Be a team player and work closely with internal and external individuals to accomplish goals.
  • Maintain organization and prepare status reports.
Minimum Program Qualifications
  • Senior in a Baccalaureate Program, graduating no later than June 2025, or a bachelor's degree with no more than 2 years of work experience post-graduation.
  • Preferred majors and/or minors: Business Administration, Sales, Risk Management, Healthcare Administration, Economics, Public Health, Marketing, Communications.
  • Prefer a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Willing and able to relocate to hiring territory in the U.S.
  • Seeking an opportunity in an onboarding development program.

  • Willing and able to relocate to another territory in the U.S.
Program Schedule

You must be available to work a 40-hour work week beginning July 14, 2025. Working days are Monday – Friday.

Interview Process

Applicants can expect to have their application reviewed within 10 business days. Candidates selected to move through the full interview process will have a phone call with our recruiter, and two rounds of formal virtual interviews, and end with final round interviews taking place November 20th and 21st in Orlando, FL.
