Job Overview

LiquidPiston is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Program Manager to support our key programs and ensure successful project execution. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing project schedules, resources, and stakeholder communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers and Chief Engineers in handling tasks outside of direct technical nature.
  • Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded project schedules in collaboration with Project Managers and Chief Engineers.
  • Proactively identify and manage gaps in project execution that impact project goals.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for all stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Organize and lead meetings, teleconferences, and interactions within project teams and between stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely submission of all contractual and internal deliverables.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of cost control measures and risk management matrices.
  • Facilitate resource management discussions and identify solutions to resource gaps.
  • Contribute to contract compliance and closeout, including documentation and lessons learned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; Master's or MBA a plus.
  • Strong interest and experience in project management, with proficiency in scheduling or other program management tools.
  • High-level engineering or business background with formal PM education (PMI certificate) a plus.
  • Excellent technical and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, resources, and stakeholder communications effectively.
  • Experience in cost control, risk management, and change management.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
