Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a growing company to fill the role of Accounting Manager. This position involves overseeing the daily, monthly, and annual operations of the centralized accounting functions. The successful candidate will develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information, and will provide support to senior leaders throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Oversee Accounting Operations: Supervise and direct the daily, monthly, and annual operations of the centralized accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements for all communities and the corporate/consolidated entity, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee the management of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and complete financial records.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Review and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.
  • Supervision and Team Management: Supervise two direct reports who manage accounts payable for all communities, including invoice review, approval, and payment.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the management of fixed assets, ensuring accurate and complete records.
  • ACH Batch Payment Processing: Process ACH batch payments, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Company Credit Card Administration: Administer company credit cards, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Debt Management: Assist in debt management, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Annual Audit Coordination: Coordinate the annual audit, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of accounting experience, with 1+ year of experience leading and mentoring a team.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA or public accounting experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; strong ability to prioritize projects and tasks, while maintaining high attention to detail; proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel; ability to prepare, evaluate, and understand financial statements and to identify key metrics.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
