Position Overview Maintenance Electrician

Key Responsibilities:

o Comply with TS16949 operational guidelines

o Follow ISO14001 protocols and training requirements

o Interpret and adhere to all job-specific work instructions

o Maintain safety standards to prevent injuries to oneself and colleagues

o Conduct repairs and refurbishments on electric motors (excluding rewinding of stators and armatures)

o Diagnose and fix issues with Ajax Induction Furnaces, ACS Osborn Mold units, Sand Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Shot-Blasting Equipment, and related production machinery

o Perform maintenance on Electric Overhead cranes and Hoists (both Electrical and Mechanical, excluding welding tasks)

o Manage repairs of low voltage and voltage controls up to 480 volts

o Proficiently read electrical schematics and diagrams

o Execute conduit installations and design electrical cabinets

o Familiarity with Allen Bradley Rockwell Software (RS Logix 5, RS Logix 500, and RS Linx), as well as PLC-5 and SLC500 hardware

o Basic computer skills for work order management and completion are required

o Ability to obtain licenses for forklift, articulating boom lift, and scissor lift through the safety department

o Must provide personal hand tools for the role

Qualifications:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Position Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Journeyman Electrician Card or 6 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting is necessary.
  • Experience with low voltage and voltage controls up to 480 volts is essential.
  • Understanding of PLC controls is required.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Instrumentation (e.g., Temperature Controllers, Chart Recorders, I/P and P/I Converters, Variable Frequency Drives, etc.) is preferred.
