KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate participant onboarding processes.
- Conduct outreach and follow-up communications with applicants and participants.
- Demonstrate proficient navigation of the SYEP online platform (YEPS).
- Systematically organize and calculate weekly participant timesheets; ensure accurate input of hours for each Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) participant into the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) timesheet system by established deadlines.
- Guarantee timely submission of all signed timesheets to maintain accurate record-keeping.
- Process SYEP participant back pay requests with the Program Director's authorization.
- Maintain meticulous records of previously entered timesheets.
- Communicate with worksite sponsors regarding the distribution of participant debit cards via phone and email.
- Support other SYEP staff with various responsibilities as required.
- Assist with any program-related activities as directed by the Program Director.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant experience and/or transferable skills are preferred.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Proficient in multitasking, taking initiative, and working independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is advantageous.
- Availability during afternoon to evening hours is required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Associate Degree or a minimum of two years of college experience is preferred.
- Two years of computer experience is mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Experience working with a diverse group is beneficial.
- Knowledge of local neighborhoods is a plus.
