Vegetable Seeds Development Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vegetable Seeds Development Intern to join our team at Syngenta. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in vegetable seeds development, working closely with our breeding and market segment teams.
Key Responsibilities- Support the breeding and market segment teams in field-related activities, including the evaluation of new experimental hybrids and inbred lines.
- Implement electronic data collection protocols and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Manage and lead field crew activities during the field evaluation season.
- Assist in collecting data for trait discovery and validation projects.
- Perform other duties as required to meet project needs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline (Plant Biology, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Genetics, Agronomy, or another closely related major).
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is ideal but not required.
- Eligible to work in the US.
- Excellent communication skills to work well with co-workers.
- Independent and self-motivating with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate information effectively.
- Detail-oriented and accuracy-focused.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Innovative and willing to implement new procedures or technologies.
- Knowledge of plant breeding.
