Electrical Engineer for Space Systems

We're looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a member of our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing the ground control and data acquisition systems that support our New Shepard operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in designing and developing instrumentation and controls systems. You'll work closely with our team of engineers to ensure that our systems meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this position include:
- Designing and developing instrumentation and controls (I&C) systems for New Shepard Ground Subsystems.
- Developing robust and detailed electrical schematics, bill of materials, instrumentation lists, and PLC logic.
- Ownership of the controls systems assigned throughout the complete product lifecycle.
- Collaborating with our engineering team to ensure that our systems meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Controls Engineer working on automation, electromechanical systems, and/or fluid systems.
- Experience implementing with process automation and electromechanical / mechatronic systems.
- Experience in the electrical controls hardware installation, programming, and testing of industrial controls equipment and related instrumentation.
The estimated salary for this position is $103,230 - $144,522 per year, depending on location.
