Job Summary

The Director of Financial Operations will oversee the stewardship of financial contributions to LA Catholics, ensuring responsible and effective use of resources to form loving disciples who transform the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial systems and strategies to achieve the mission and goals of LA Catholics.
  • Provide hands-on accounting, tactical, and managerial leadership in developing and implementing financial systems and strategies.
  • Ensure the optimal delivery of financial services to internal and external constituents.
  • Direct and implement the financial activities of LA Catholics to protect its assets and assure its liquidity.
  • Develop, manage, and lead a full complement of accounting and financial responsibilities across the organization.
  • Supervise a variety of personnel and provide guidance and counsel to the senior management team to foster and facilitate cost controls.
  • Engage external auditors for annual and special audits as needed.
Requirements
  • Current CPA license.
  • Ten or more years of relevant accounting and financial management experience.
  • Experience in and familiarity with the Catholic parish, school, or non-profit sector.
Working Environment

The Director of Financial Operations will primarily be performed in an office environment or working from home.

Physical Demands

The ability to work on a computer while sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
