Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Financial Analyst, your role will encompass:

  • Assisting in the Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecast, and Monthly Close processes while collaborating with various functional leaders to enhance efficiencies and support strategic goals.
  • Producing and analyzing reporting packages for senior management, coordinating data collection across the organization, and evaluating risk and opportunity ranges for initiatives.
  • Engaging in integrated companywide analysis and consolidation to aid the executive leadership team in planning and forecasting.
  • Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will analyze, report, and support the performance of Corporate Support functions, showcasing a strong ability to interpret and communicate complex business issues and identify improvement opportunities.

Critical skills include problem-solving, prioritization, and meticulous attention to detail.


Key Tasks:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan for future expenditures and headcount.
  • Input necessary data into the Hyperion system.
  • Prepare AOP presentations to convey essential information to stakeholders.

Quarterly Forecast (30%) and Intra-Quarter Trending:

  • Coordinate forecast inputs from various regions and business units, aligning key assumptions and drivers.
  • Develop forecast reporting files by building and updating Essbase data queries and relevant summaries.
  • Conduct variance analysis to ensure a transparent environment for senior leadership.

Monthly Close & Reconciliation (30%):

  • Prepare and submit journal entries for accruals, reclassifications, and allocations.
  • Analyze and reconcile actuals to forecasts with a clear understanding of variances.

Process Improvement (10%):

  • Drive the standardization and evolution of the Hyperion-based financial planning system to enhance efficiencies and meet business needs.
  • Automate standard processes and reporting to reduce the reporting burden and enhance analytical capacity.

This is a full-time remote contract opportunity.


Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in accounting or finance, preferably in a publicly traded company.
  • Exceptional quantitative and financial modeling skills.
  • Adept at thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, writing, and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for coordinating inputs across multiple functions.
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail in a dynamic, multitasking environment.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Hyperion/Essbase is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of general accounting and financial planning principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the video game, software, technology, or entertainment industries.
  • A genuine passion for video games.

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $55.00-$60.00/hr based on experience. The offered pay range will be determined by various factors, including education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.
