Job Overview:

Key Qualifications:

  • Conducts Certification and Accreditation (C&A) or other Information Assurance (IA) and Cyber Network Defense (CND) compliance processes and inspections for enterprise systems and networks, ensuring thorough validation and accuracy of all related documentation.
  • Performs compliance assessments of cybersecurity plans, executes risk evaluations, and conducts security testing and audits.
  • Evaluates security requirements for safeguarding information across enterprise systems and networks.
  • Assists in the formulation of security policies.
  • Assesses the sensitivity of information and executes vulnerability and risk evaluations based on defined sensitivity and information flow.
  • Must hold a professional certification as Technical Level II as outlined by DODI 8570.

Specific Duties:

  • Support Assessment, Authorization & Validation activities.
  • Conduct and assist with Traditional Security Reviews (assessments, evaluations, audits) as mandated by Cybersecurity.
  • Identify and rectify deficiencies promptly while educating users on current security standards and requirements in accordance with cyber guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Facilitate assessments, evaluations, and audits for supported Information Systems, covering areas such as IT Infrastructure, Applications, Databases, and processes vital to the mission.
  • Coordinate the collection, validation, and submission of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation artifacts into relevant tracking systems and provide necessary reports.
  • Manage Risk Management Documents (RMDs) including Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), Risk Acceptance (RAC), and other necessary documentation for government approval.
  • Review and validate compliance or non-compliance according to applicable guidelines for each identified vulnerability.
  • Schedule and oversee Information System Contingency Plans (ISCP).
  • Review and validate all documentation necessary for compliance with federal security management acts and standards.
  • Review and update necessary documentation for assigned networks and provide updates to the appropriate representatives.
  • In support of the RMF Assess Only process, follow established requirements and validate risk analysis for software and hardware requests.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise in Cybersecurity to support various stakeholders in compliance with related regulations and directives.
  • Offer Cybersecurity support during real-world scenarios or additional requirements in support of RMF compliance checks and documentation review.
