Department: Acute Care

Role: Clinical Pharmacist with a Focus on Medical Oncology

We are looking for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Medical Oncology to enhance our acute care pharmacy team, ensuring optimal medication management across all care dimensions.

The Clinical Pharmacist will provide comprehensive pharmacy services for patients in the medical oncology unit and palliative care unit. Responsibilities include order verification, participation in rounds, support for oncology treatment plans, discharge counseling, and pharmacokinetic and therapeutic consultations.

Work Schedule: First shift with every third weekend required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in oncology is highly desirable.
  • Completion of a PGY1 residency or equivalent acute care experience is mandatory.
  • PGY2 residency in oncology is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred.
  • Experience: Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship or two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in a health system pharmacy required.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current Pharmacy licensure in the appropriate state(s) required.
    • Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or equivalent must be obtained and maintained within two years of the start date.
