Position Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist plays a vital role in advancing the mission and values of Providence Health & Services.

This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments and evaluations.
  • Developing and executing tailored care plans.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient progress.
  • Facilitating discharge planning.

The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a commitment to compassionate and direct interactions.


Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year.

Specialized Training:
  • Competencies in therapeutic feeding techniques.
  • Skills in patient transfers.
  • Experience assisting with Modified Barium Swallow studies.

Licensure Requirements:
  • California Speech-Language Pathologist License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Training in dysphagia assessment and management.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in acute care or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
