Position Overview:

As a Security Engineering Intern at Juniper Networks, you will be immersed in the Cybersecurity Research and Development sector. Our primary objective is to safeguard the integrity of our products within their operational environments. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage in the development of security functionalities, conduct investigative research, and advocate for robust security practices across the organization.

Prepare to tackle both immediate and long-term challenges, contributing to meaningful advancements in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in penetration testing to identify security weaknesses and threats in Juniper products.
  • Evaluate product specifications and provide constructive feedback to bolster security measures.
  • Advise internal teams on constructing secure system architectures.
  • Assess security vulnerabilities and formulate remediation strategies.
  • Examine source code for potential security flaws.
  • Contribute to the development of security protocols and standards.
  • Create tools for security assessment and monitoring.
  • Design and deliver educational materials on security practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a specialization in Cybersecurity.
  • Enthusiastic about crafting effective security solutions.
  • Understanding of security vulnerabilities and cryptographic principles.
  • Experience in Cloud security, Network security, and Applied cryptography.
  • Familiarity with various security technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, and AWS.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including C/C++, Java, Python, Go, and Rust.
  • Solid understanding of FreeBSD and/or Linux system administration.
  • Cybersecurity certifications are advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

Compensation: Salary range is $61,000 to $94,875.00 annually, including medical benefits, 401(k), vacation, sick leave, and parental leave. Detailed information will be provided upon job offer.
