Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with clinical leadership to facilitate efficient patient flow within operational areas.
- Execute clinical tasks across various departments, including Express, Cast Room, and patient pods.
- Administer clinical procedures such as the application and removal of casts, sutures, staples, and braces.
- Conduct wound care and deliver educational support to patients.
- Manage patient triage as required or directed.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories, while updating electronic health records as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records, including visit details, insurance information, and contact data.
- Provide post-visit services, including necessary paperwork, scheduling follow-up appointments, and responding to patient inquiries.
- Ensure exam rooms meet regulatory standards and maintain cleanliness.
- Audit and review new patient charts for accuracy.
- Work collaboratively to restock clinical and office supplies in designated areas.
- Assist in training new team members as required.
- Perform duties of a Medical Assistant when necessary.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A valid NYS LPN License.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume medical office, particularly in patient rooming.
- Experience in wound care and casting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records, with MEDENT experience being advantageous.
This role involves standing and walking for the duration of the shift. Team members may occasionally need to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Normal visual acuity and hearing capabilities are essential.
