About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Security Specialist to join our team at Toyon Research Corporation. As a Facility Security Officer/Office Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations and guidelines, including those related to classified information and technical contracts.
  • Facility Security: Oversee the physical security of our facilities, including access control, intrusion detection, and secure builds.
  • Document Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of security-related documents, including self-inspection checklists, SOPs, and CONOPs.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide security indoctrination briefings, refresher trainings, and debriefings to employees.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response protocols and safety guidelines for employees.
  • Security Policy Development: Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
  • Physical Security Systems: Coordinate the installation and maintenance of physical security systems, including access control and intrusion detection.
  • Information System Security: Perform Information System Security Manager (ISSM) tasks, including support of computer audits, virus definitions, back-ups, and accreditations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial security environment.
  • Communication Skills: Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong customer service orientation.
  • Adaptability: Able to adapt to new tasks and meet challenging timelines.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and problem-solve.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Windows applications.
  • Certifications: Security + Certification.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
