Job Summary

Mental Health Association in Orange County, Inc. (MHA) is seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and working closely with our staff to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct payroll audits and update data in Paylocity to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll and calculating compensation adjustments, including retro salary amounts for employee merit increases and position changes.
  • Review staff payroll entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with agency and legal requirements.
  • Update employee hours log on a bi-weekly basis and submit to payroll team.
  • Generate payroll reports as needed, including year-end reports such as W-2s.
  • Maintain organized and secure payroll records in compliance with agency and legal requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in payroll and timekeeping.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
