Job Summary

The Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Coordinator will be responsible for conducting inspections using advanced NDT techniques to detect corrosion, defects, and other detrimental conditions in accordance with specific written criteria. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to interpret indications and report results per company requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety standards and practices.
  • Perform NDT inspections and interpret results.
  • Communicate processes, procedures, and results to customers.
  • Supervise apprentices on the job site.
  • Maintain advanced NDT certification.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in NDT field as a certified technician in at least one advanced NDT method.
  • Certified to Level II in a minimum of one method (UTPA, CR, DR, ET).
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Word and with computers/computerized equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Travel requirement: 0-75%.
Work Environment
  • Position is based out of a branch or site location.
  • Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
  • Interaction with other crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
  • Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties.
  • Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities.
  • Sufficient vision or other powers of observation.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity.
  • Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in RT, MT, PT, UT, CR, DR, PMI, VT, and API.
