Job Summary:
Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) Specialist to join our team in Borger, TX. As an NDE Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing to ensure the quality and integrity of materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Conduct tests to detect discontinuities (defects) using various NDT methods of inspection, including radiography, ultrasonic testing, and magnetic particle testing.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results to ensure compliance.
- Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators to identify defects or anomalies.
- Organize and report test results in a clear and concise manner.
- Perform specialized inspections as required.
- May instruct and supervise others in NDE techniques and procedures.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some college preferred.
- Certified Level II in NDT methods and procedures.
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
- Knowledge of NDT equipment and techniques.
- Experience in report writing and data analysis.
