Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team at Ledbetter Law Group. Our firm specializes in estate planning, business organization, real estate, and estate/trust administration.

Compensation:

$55,000 - $65,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential to this role:

  • Prepare and draft legal correspondence
  • Assist in the creation of legal documents
  • Draft Wills, trusts, and advance directives
  • Engage with clients effectively
  • Coordinate with financial institutions
  • Collaborate with other legal offices
  • Interact with the County Clerk's office
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and other relevant parties
  • Handle various administrative tasks to organize and manage files (copying, scanning, faxing, etc.)
  • Experience with Excel spreadsheets is advantageous
  • Accurately record billable hours
  • Manage a caseload of active files
  • Work closely with the Lead Paralegal and supervising attorney
  • Participate in firm events, including client appreciation and team-building activities
  • Maintain an accurate list of cases
  • Contribute to a firm with a strong reputation in the community
  • Collaborate directly with the supervising attorney
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Timely completion of assignments
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive demeanor
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of working both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
  • Familiarity with Practice Panther client management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous documentation of files
  • Comfortable in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience with timekeeping software and a background in a law office setting
  • Prior experience in estate planning and business organization matters
  • Effective time management skills
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • A paralegal certificate is preferred
  • Florida Notary Public certification
  • Ability to act as a notary public
  • Background check and references are required
