Marquis Construction Services is seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our team in Freeport, Texas. As a Scaffold Builder, you will be responsible for the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all OSHA, site-specific, and Marquis Construction Services requirements for the construction, assembly, and dismantling of scaffolding.
  • Site Inspection: Inspect the job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
  • Safety Pre-Job Audits: Participate in safety pre-job audits (JSA's) with the scaffolding crew to ensure all safety hazards have been identified.
  • Daily Inspections: Conduct daily visual inspections of scaffolding to ensure structural stability.
  • Scaffold Assembly: Assemble scaffold containing handrails, mid-rails, braces, and planks, toe boards, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
  • Material Handling: Hoist scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structures.
  • Component Inspection: Regularly inspect scaffolding components and recognize damaged or defective parts vital to the structure of the scaffold.
  • Cleanliness and Preparation: Responsible for cleaning and preparing the site, removing debris and materials.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by supervision.

  • Moving Mechanical Parts: Working around moving mechanical parts.
  • Precarious Places: Working in high precarious places.
