We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Support Partner to join our Child, Youth & Family Crisis Team at Compass Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide peer support services to clients, assisting them in stabilization, recovery, self-advocacy, and community living skills development.
Key Responsibilities- Provide peer support to validate clients' experiences and encourage active participation in their recovery.
- Serve as a mentor to promote hope and empowerment.
- Assist clients in identifying and accessing community and natural supports, including mental health and chemical dependency treatment, peer support groups, and basic needs resources.
- Provide reassurance and support to clients' family members, friends, and natural supports.
- Engage in active listening with clients.
- Assist program staff in monitoring clients' symptoms and behavior, and formulating treatment goals.
- Advocate for clients as needed.
- Current Peer Counselor Certification preferred.
- Experience as a Peer Counselor preferred.
- Experience working with special needs children or individuals with behavioral health or substance use diagnoses required.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License and vehicle insurance, if applicable.
