Twist Bioscience is revolutionizing the field of synthetic biology with our cutting-edge DNA synthesis technology. We're seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our antibody discovery team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for health, sustainability, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute phage display library panning for soluble protein and cell membrane targets
  • Conduct kinetic studies of antibody-antigen interactions using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) instrumentation
  • Assist with library construction using molecular cloning skills like PCR, restriction digestion, ligation, and DNA gel purification
  • Perform DNA sequencing by NGS and prepare samples for Sanger sequencing, summarizing results and designing sequencing primers
  • Record experimental findings and present to supervisors, in group meetings, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the team to design and execute high-throughput primary ELISA binding assays using automation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, protein engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of related work experience
  • Knowledge and experience in molecular biology, protein engineering, or antibody engineering methods and applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Carterra SPR, Biacore SPR, or Octet BLI instrumentation
  • Background in phage, ribosome, or yeast display
