Clinical Nurse Coordinator, Bone Marrow Transplant Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Bone Marrow Transplant team at MedStar Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities with the Attending Physician and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in communications with patients and triage patient issues, symptoms, and education regarding disease process and treatment.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to evaluate health care services for patients and patient families.
- Provide direct and indirect care to patients and families, and objectively evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care delivery.
- Assist patients and families through the disease process and cancer diagnosis continuum.
- Triages phone calls and patient portal inquiries, and provides consultations and follow-up as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience required; 1-2 years of ambulatory care and oncology experience preferred.
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required.
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required.
- OCN - Oncology Nurse Certification within 1 Year preferred.
