Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Transplant Nurse to join our team at Medstar. As a key member of our transplant services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing transplant procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to transplant patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • 3-4 years professional nursing experience required; 1-2 years previous transplant, outpatient, or dialysis experience preferred.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required.
  • CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCTC - Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator preferred.

Medstar offers a competitive salary range of $87,000 to $149,094.00, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
