Position Summary:
The Risk Analyst III, operating under general supervision, will oversee CF's comprehensive risk management and insurance initiatives. This role involves engaging in extensive assignments that require collaboration with cross-functional internal teams and external service providers. The incumbent will act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders, providing direct oversight in the preparation of underwriting submissions and presentations, reviewing coverage documents and insurance policies, conducting policy audits, contract evaluations, and managing claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs the gathering of renewal data from internal stakeholders and prepares submissions for insurance policy placements, along with marketing materials.
  • Manages the budgeting and distribution of insurance costs across various operating units and departments, tracking and preparing reports on insurance premiums and loss data as needed.
  • Oversees the examination of insurance policies to ensure adherence to negotiated terms and conditions, addressing any discrepancies that arise. Conducts policy scenario analyses to identify program responses and potential coverage gaps.
  • Facilitates communication with internal stakeholders regarding the reporting and processing of claims, ensuring compliance with global reporting protocols and providing ongoing support to all locations concerning the application and interpretation of the company's insurance programs.
  • Coordinates loss prevention evaluations and monitors the execution of risk improvement initiatives in collaboration with site personnel and internal stakeholders, while overseeing loss prevention reporting to carriers and brokers as required.
  • Collaborates with third-party administrators and brokers to effectively manage claims and streamline processes. Identifies and recommends strategies that yield the most cost-effective resolutions for routine claims.
  • Ensures the accuracy and prompt payment of invoices and payments from external parties for any insurance-related payments due, as well as overseeing the placement of NDAs and contractual agreements with insurance carriers and vendors.
  • Supports the monitoring of new business areas and exposures, ensuring timely addition of new entities, properties, vehicles, and employees to existing insurance policies.
  • Assists in evaluating new risk areas to determine appropriate insurance needs, including construction and acquisition projects.
  • Participates in cross-functional project teams focused on enhancing risk management practices, design, development, and integration efforts.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Education: A college degree in a relevant field is required, along with additional training in Risk Management or Insurance.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in insurance, risk management, or related fields, including operations and finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Preferred Attributes:
    • Previous experience in risk management and insurance within a manufacturing or operational setting is preferred.
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Working knowledge of commercial operations, risks, and fundamental business management principles.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
    • Proficient in the full MS Office Suite.
