Overview of the Senior Cost Accountant Position

The Senior Cost Accountant is essential in producing financial statements and reports, ensuring the precision of accounting records and entries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate monthly journal entries and perform detailed analyses
  • Examine and validate accounting classifications
  • Create reports for management and regulatory bodies
  • Evaluate distribution and storage expenses
  • Propose improvements to accounting systems
  • Support special projects and year-end activities
  • Offer guidance to the accounting team
  • Conduct inventory reconciliations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience (CPA designation preferred)
  • Exceptional analytical and communication abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous
