Function:

Finance & Accounting Position Overview: The Senior Risk Management Analyst, operating under general supervision, will oversee CF's comprehensive risk management and insurance initiatives. This role will involve engaging in extensive assignments that encompass collaboration with cross-functional internal teams and external service providers. The incumbent will act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and will directly supervise the preparation of underwriting submissions and presentations, assess coverage binders and insurance policies, conduct policy audits, review contracts, and manage claims. The Senior Risk Management Analyst may also assist in Enterprise Risk Assessment and Reporting as needed. Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties

  • Directs the gathering of renewal data from internal stakeholders and prepares submissions for insurance policy placements, as well as develops marketing materials.
  • Manages the budgeting and distribution of insurance costs among various operating units and departments, and tracks and prepares reports on insurance premiums and loss data as required.
  • Oversees the examination of insurance policies to ensure adherence to negotiated terms and conditions, resolving any identified discrepancies. Conducts policy scenario analyses to pinpoint program responses and potential coverage deficiencies.
  • Facilitates communication with internal stakeholders regarding the reporting and processing of claims, ensuring comprehension and compliance with global reporting protocols, while providing daily support and service to all locations concerning the application and interpretation of the company's insurance programs.
  • Coordinates loss prevention evaluations and monitors the execution of risk enhancement plans in collaboration with site personnel and internal stakeholders, and oversees loss prevention reporting to carriers and brokers as necessary.
  • Collaborates with third-party administrators and brokers to effectively manage claims and streamline workflow. Identifies and recommends strategies that yield the most cost-effective resolution of routine claims.
  • Ensures the accuracy and timely processing of invoices and payments from external parties for any insurance payments due, as well as return premiums or other credits owed, and supervises the establishment of NDAs and contractual agreements with insurance carriers and vendors.
  • Supports the monitoring of all new business areas and exposures, ensuring that new entities, properties, vehicles, and employees are promptly added to existing insurance policies.
  • Assists in evaluating new risk areas to determine appropriate insurance requirements, including construction and acquisition projects.
  • Participates in cross-functional project teams focused on enhancing risk management practices, design, development, integration, and improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A college degree in a related field is required, along with additional training in Risk Management/Insurance.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in insurance/risk or related fields, including operations and finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Preferred Attributes:
    • Prior experience in risk management and insurance within a manufacturing or operations context is preferred.
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with commercial operations, risks, and fundamental business management principles.
    • Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Proficient in computer applications with strong knowledge of the full MS Office Suite.
