Job Title: Banquet Captain - Supervisor/Bartender/Server

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at the Club at Seabrook Island, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of banquets and special events, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Coordinate Banquet Staff: Lead a team of banquet servers, bartenders, and other support staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Implement Event Plans: Work closely with the Banquet Manager to develop and execute event plans, including setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Manage Event Logistics: Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of event requirements.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure that all event spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and Control Event Expenses: Manage event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring that costs are within approved limits.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments, including food and beverage, marketing, and sales, to ensure seamless event execution.

Requirements:

  • 2+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in a banquet or event management role, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of staff.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, with the ability to think on your feet and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage Operations: Familiarity with food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and cash handling.
