Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Club At Seabrook Island, Inc. as a key member of our restaurant operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of banquet servers and bartenders to ensure exceptional service and event execution.
  • Implement tasks and instructions provided by the Banquet Manager to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Coordinate and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficient event setup.
  • Oversee the setup and management of events, including table settings, linens, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient execution of events, including setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Conduct thorough walk-throughs of events to ensure all details are in place and staff are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Manage the closing responsibilities of events, including cleaning, restocking, and resetting the event space.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Banquet Captain or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or event space.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
