About the Role

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is a vital position at MultiCare Health System, Inc. that supports our Lab Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for patient registration and order entry, phlebotomy, and specimen processing. You may also be responsible for specimen pick-up in offices, report sorting and delivery, supply delivery, and other tasks related to the operation of the specific location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients and process orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing tasks
  • Collect and transport specimens to the laboratory
  • Sort and deliver reports to healthcare providers
  • Deliver supplies and equipment to various locations
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Current Medical Assistant-Certified, Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy Certification, or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible - must complete the training and submit application within 90 days of hire
  • Completion of phlebotomy course or training preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Previous experience dealing with the public preferred
