About the Opportunity

Vail Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Educator to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative services team, you will play a critical role in coordinating and providing education and training needs specific to clinical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with staff and clients to identify specific training and educational needs for the clinical staff and practitioners related to the care of patients in the perioperative setting.
  • Develop and implement competencies, tools, programs, and curriculum designed to meet the educational and training needs of the perioperative clinical staff and practitioners.
  • Implement orientation programs for new clinical employees and design orientation programs for new employees.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop educational materials and programs.
  • Continuously monitor and report the effectiveness of programs and tools implemented, revising as needed based on organizational feedback and patient outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with peers, department leadership, clinical staff, and patients.
  • Serve as a role model for embracing organizational change and process improvement.
  • Utilize a variety of presentation and facilitation skills to deliver content specific to educational needs.
  • Ability to set and meet objectives and to complete work with accuracy and within organizational time frames.
  • Participate in unit and organizational quality improvement processes.
Requirements
  • Five years of nursing experience.
  • Two years of Operating Room nursing experience.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room certification (CNOR) preferred.
