Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our team at The Steadman Clinic. As a Physician Assistant in Orthopaedic Surgery, you will play a critical role in the medical and surgical management of patients assigned to your practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with attending physicians to diagnose and treat orthopaedic sports medicine injuries and related illnesses in both clinical and surgical settings.
  • Perform procedures within the PA scope of practice as directed by the supervising physician in the clinic, OR, and ER, including first and second assisting responsibilities.
  • Assist in preoperative evaluation and education, including obtaining preoperative surgical consents and informed consent for research studies.
  • Manage prescription medication for the practice and perform therapeutic and diagnostic injections of shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee joints.
  • Communicate with outside/consulting physicians, occupational/physical therapists regarding ongoing care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university Physician Assistant program accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Certification by the National Commission for Certified Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) required. Registered and licensed by the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners. Current DEA number required. Current certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required.
  • 4 years of experience preferred, but well-qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.
