Company Overview:
Habitat America is a prominent third-party property management firm overseeing around 100 residential communities, primarily in the Mid Atlantic region, including Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Marketing Coordinator to enhance the visibility of Habitat America and the residential communities under our management. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to advance their marketing careers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outreach Marketing:
    Develop and uphold a positive brand image for the company and its communities. Serve as a liaison between onsite personnel and local organizations.
  • Marketing Strategy:
    Create and implement effective marketing strategies. Conduct market research to identify target demographics and distribute promotional materials accordingly.
  • Event Participation:
    Engage in promotional activities for the properties, including on-site events and community fairs.
  • Travel Requirements:
    Frequent travel to various sites within the DC metropolitan area is necessary. Reliable transportation is essential.

Graphic Design Duties:

  • Support the corporate marketing team in updating marketing materials and company branding.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers on the production and editing of marketing content.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the company blog and website through creative writing and content creation.
  • Assist in managing the corporate and community reputation.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong customer service and marketing copywriting skills.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and design skills, particularly with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in property management and file management is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and experience in email marketing campaigns (e.g., Mailchimp).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML is a plus, though not required.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.
