Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Marketing Assistant to enhance the visibility of Habitat America and the apartment communities under our management. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to expand their marketing expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outreach Marketing:
    Develop and sustain a positive brand image for the company and its communities. Serve as a key liaison between onsite personnel and local organizations.
  • Marketing Strategy:
    Create and implement effective marketing plans. Conduct market research to identify target demographics and distribute promotional materials accordingly.
  • Community Engagement:
    Communicate with potential clients to drive traffic to leasing offices. Participate in promotional events, including housing fairs and community gatherings.
  • Travel Requirements:
    This position involves extensive travel to various sites, primarily within the DC metropolitan area. Reliable transportation is essential.

Graphic Design Duties:
Assist the corporate Marketing Department in updating marketing materials and enhancing company branding. Collaborate with Graphic Designers on the editing and production of marketing collateral. Contribute to maintaining the company blog and website through creative writing and content creation.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent copywriting skills.
  • Fundamental understanding of marketing principles.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in leasing property management and file management is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress and experience with email marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with HTML coding is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
