About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Enlivant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality meals are prepared and presented to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the kitchen staff, including food preparation, plating, and presentation
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff
  • Manage resident food preferences, capturing feedback and making adjustments as needed
  • Ensure compliance with state, local, and regulatory agencies as they relate to food service
  • Assist with menu planning, food ordering, and inventory management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of culinary experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Understanding of state sanitation codes and regulations
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and do occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds)
  • Ability to stand for at least 80% of the scheduled shift
  • Ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with dining services in a Chef, Cook, Sous Chef, or Dietary Aide role
  • Restaurant, food service, or banquet experience helpful
  • Experience in a senior living or skilled nursing culinary environment a plus
  • Hospitality and supervisory experience a plus
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • ServSafe Managers Certificate (obtain within 90 days of employment)
