Work Arrangement: Remote or Office-based

Key Responsibilities:

The Analyst will be tasked with executing daily functions related to financial advisory services for credit unions. This encompasses providing insights on balance sheet oversight, supporting ALCO meetings, and offering strategic recommendations for portfolio management.

  • Analyze and assess Asset Liability Management (ALM) model outcomes, identify both straightforward and moderately complex discrepancies, and communicate findings to Accolade advisors. Aid clients in interpreting and understanding interest rate risk levels and trends.
  • Collaborate with senior Accolade investment advisors to offer guidance and support to client management and asset-liability committees. Participate in client ALCO meetings to interpret risk reports, assess financial performance, and provide insights on the balance sheet implications of strategic choices.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, investment research, and strategy formulation as requested by senior Accolade investment advisors. Develop and enhance tools utilized for producing Investment Advisory deliverables.
  • Gather data from clients on a monthly/quarterly basis following established protocols and validate data for accuracy. Collaborate with clients to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data collection and integrity.
  • Deliver exceptional public relations and relationship management services for Accolade. Support the sales process effectively.
  • Actively seek professional development opportunities related to investment and client management, as well as the credit union sector.
  • Be adaptable to undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant progressive experience, with a preference for balance sheet management in a financial institution.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting are essential. A Licensed Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65) is preferred and must be obtained within 180 days of employment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with Power BI analysis and Bloomberg is advantageous.
