Financial Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for performing detailed financial analysis and modeling for real estate investment opportunities, including cash flow projections, valuation models, and sensitivity analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and financial forecasts, and provide insightful analysis on variances and trends.
  • Act as a key point of contact for all FP&A activities within the real estate team, driving process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends and developments, and their potential impact on the business.
  • Provide financial expertise and strategic insights to support decision-making on key business initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Real Estate, or related field. A Master's degree or an MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a financial analyst role within the real estate sector, preferably in the mortgage industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and complex formulas.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and preparing monthly financial reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of real estate market dynamics and financial regulations.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
