Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Surgical Physician Assistant will be responsible for delivering medical care under the supervision of physicians, which includes:

  • Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and assessing patient health status.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and managing treatment plans for various conditions.
  • Providing emergency care, including CPR, and managing patient calls to evaluate health concerns.
  • Documenting patient interactions and care in medical records accurately.
  • Assisting in surgical procedures and participating in patient rounds as necessary.
  • Educating patients and their families on preventive health measures and treatment options.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree along with successful completion of an accredited physician assistant program.
  • A minimum of four years of healthcare experience prior to entering the PA program.
  • At least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a clinical environment.
  • National certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
