Key ResponsibilitiesThe Orthopedic Surgical Physician Assistant will be responsible for delivering medical care under the supervision of physicians, which includes:
- Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and assessing patient health status.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and managing treatment plans for various conditions.
- Providing emergency care, including CPR, and managing patient calls to evaluate health concerns.
- Documenting patient interactions and care in medical records accurately.
- Assisting in surgical procedures and participating in patient rounds as necessary.
- Educating patients and their families on preventive health measures and treatment options.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree along with successful completion of an accredited physician assistant program.
- A minimum of four years of healthcare experience prior to entering the PA program.
- At least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a clinical environment.
- National certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
