Pediatric Physician Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Physician Assistant to join our team at the Alaska Fracture and Orthopedic Clinic, a department of Medical Network of Alaska.

Division:

Our clinic is committed to providing exceptional orthopedic care to children and families in Alaska. We strive to be the leader in advancing quality bone, joint, spine, and muscle care and technology while providing superior access, service, and care to our patients and their families.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a 10-hour shift or 8-hour shift, with availability for on-call and weekends. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that allows for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat various orthopedic issues in pediatric patients
  • Assist in surgical procedures and postoperative care
  • Support the pediatric orthopedic surgeon in the clinic and hospital rounds

Requirements:

  • Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) License in the state of Alaska
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS
  • Must reside in Alaska, or be willing to relocate/travel
  • Have general knowledge of EMR software and Outlook Programs
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to frequently stand; walk; sit; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
