Job Title: Orthopedic Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Nurse Specialist to join our team at Orthopedic Physicians Alaska Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic nursing and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and verify patient health history, gather pertinent health data, and collect specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Provide basic patient care as ordered, administer medications and treatments as directed, and assist other healthcare professionals in performing exams, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Document assessments, interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, and test results in medical records.
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating physician advice/instructions.
  • Fulfill patient care responsibilities as assigned, including checking schedules and organizing patient flow for best overall efficiency.

Requirements:

  • ASN or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum one year of RN experience, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
  • Current state RN license and current CPR certificate.
