Job Description\
At Ohio Dominican University, we seek a seasoned Human Resource Manager to coordinate personnel activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.\
\
Key Responsibilities:\
• Manage the recruitment process, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.\
• Maintain accurate and compliant job descriptions.\
• Foster a collaborative team atmosphere.\
• Provide guidance and support to HR staff members.\
• Oversee HR systems, processes, and external partnerships.\
• Ensure benefits administration meets employee needs.\
• Resolve employee inquiries and concerns regarding benefits.\
• Apply company policies consistently.\
• Coordinate Employee Tuition Grants and Financial Aid paperwork.\
• Serve on the University Retirement Plan 403(b) Committee.\
• Act as EEO Officer and Privacy Officer for HIPAA.\
• Investigate and resolve employee issues and conflicts.\
• Update the Employee Handbook and suggest faculty handbook revisions.\
• Develop employee relations and communications strategies.\
• Ensure regulatory compliance in HR practices.\
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic HR initiatives.\
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.\
\
Qualifications:\
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field; Master's degree preferred.\
• 5+ years of experience in human resources and leadership.\
• Experience in higher education or not-for-profit highly valued.\
• PHR or SPHR certification beneficial.\
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Colleague software.\
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.\
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
