Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Project Manager/Coordinator to join our team at 7-Eleven. This role will serve as an intermediary between Network and all internal clients, governing key infrastructure vendors and focusing on projects and initiatives that require Network involvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships between Network and all internal and external customers
  • Work with Management to review prioritization of IT projects and determine what employees' areas of focus should be from a prioritization perspective
  • Develop detailed technical road maps for major infrastructure initiatives
  • Maintain continuity of network operations by documenting and communicating actions, challenges, and opportunities as needed
  • Assist with scheduled periodic maintenance for operating system (OS) updates, software updates, configuration changes, and maintenance renewals
  • Keep abreast of upcoming infrastructure-driven initiatives such as hardware refreshes or software upgrades, and ensure that resources and funding is allocated accordingly
  • Help manage ongoing network issues and ensure the right parties, both internal and external, are involved in issue resolution
  • Keep abreast of technology, customer needs, and industry-related trends, and help form a strategy to meet the changing needs of the Company's client base
  • Assist in asset management; maintain inventory and warranty information, maintenance records, software, and hardware registrations, and documentation
  • Provide status updates to peers and Management
  • Assist Management with budget forecasting based on planned initiatives
  • Coordinate and aid with Network initiatives; interpret Network strategies into actionable project plans
  • Aid in generating contracts; ensure vendor partners comply with contractual terms and service level agreements (SLAs)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, related field, or 5 years of experience in IT
  • 5+ years of related IT experience
  • Previous project management experience preferred
  • Previous experience with handling and resolving multiple high-complexity issues
Skills Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to research and resolve issues
  • Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives, and rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to present information, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to track multiple efforts concurrently
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations
  • Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
