This is an opportune moment to become part of TAG's team, which is experiencing significant growth. TAG is in search of a skilled Installation Technician/Foreman to enhance our expanding team at TAG-Refrigeration.

Key Responsibilities

The Foreman will be responsible for:

  • Grasping the project scope thoroughly to effectively plan, manage, and execute the associated tasks.
  • Identifying necessary adjustments to the project scope.
  • Leading and directing personnel, equipment, and resources in alignment with the project requirements.
  • Ensuring optimal deployment and productivity of work crews.
  • Maintaining open communication with the Superintendent and Project Managers, addressing any issues that may impact the project timeline.
  • Collaborating as a team member and leader to fulfill project objectives.
  • Utilizing project-specific equipment and tools appropriately.
  • Coordinating daily activities of crew members and subcontractors, implementing corrective actions to adhere to project schedules and budgets.
  • Identifying and applying best practices for efficient use of materials, manpower, and equipment.
  • Planning work in a systematic and effective manner to maximize progress safely and timely.
  • Reviewing and adhering to construction schedules regularly to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Ensuring company equipment is operated lawfully and maintained properly.
  • Interpreting project plans and specifications accurately.
  • Operating equipment as necessary.
  • Assisting project leadership in obtaining required municipal, state, or federal approvals, including final inspections and Certificates of Occupancy.
Employee Management

The Foreman will also oversee:

  • Monitoring employee attendance to ensure timely participation of all crew members.
  • Delegating tasks and responsibilities, providing instruction and supervision to the crew.
  • Facilitating communication between the company and employees on various matters.
  • Complying with relevant legislation regarding employee management.
  • Investigating employee concerns thoroughly.
  • Collaborating with Human Resources on employee development, recruitment, training, and investigations.
  • Applying the progressive disciplinary policy consistently and fairly.
  • Performing additional supervisory duties as required.
Safety Protocols

The Foreman will promote and enforce safety standards by:

  • Implementing the company's safety program and encouraging a culture of safety among all personnel.
  • Conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Reviewing safe work plans and hazard assessments with the crew before commencing work.
  • Working with the Safety Coordinator to investigate incidents and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment to prevent injuries and safeguard the well-being of all individuals on-site.
Qualifications & Skills

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Construction Foreman.
  • A valid Driver's License or equivalent.
Working Conditions

This role involves work at construction sites, requiring both indoor and outdoor duties. Overtime or night work may be necessary to meet project deadlines. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds, and the dexterity to operate various tools and equipment.
