Staff Development Specialist, Housing For Health

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Development Specialist to join our team at Heluna Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing training programs for the Comprehensive Health Accompaniment and Management Platform (CHAMP). This is a unique opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training programs for CHAMP users, including internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyze training needs and determine learning outcomes
- Create training solutions that simplify complex processes and technological concepts
- Provide ongoing training support for program leads and CHAMP users
- Assess training effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly
- Develop accessible training materials and update them based on feedback and system updates
- Recommend and optimize training processes to upper management
- Coach peers conducting CHAMP training and assist in identifying and developing internal policies and procedures related to CHAMP training
- Graduation from an accredited college or university
- Either one year of staff experience with responsibility for conducting training regarding health care programs, or one year of experience in the supervision of eligibility determination in a health or welfare agency, or one year of experience in the supervision of a patient access unit, or three years of experience in the supervision of a large clerical unit in a health or welfare agency
- One year of additional experience at the required level may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
- Successful clearing through the Live Scan and the Health Clearance process with the County of Los Angeles
- Commitment to advancing LA County's Anti-racist policy agenda
- Service-oriented approach to training
- Exceptional written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
- Strong facilitation skills
- Knowledge of training and development principles and practices
- Experience in learning needs analysis and instructional design
- Proficiency with online learning development tools
- Visual design skills and the ability to create storyboards
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with varying priorities
