Job Title: Risk Assessment Specialist - Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Assessment Specialist to join our team at the Administrative Office of the Courts in Kentucky. As a Risk Assessment Specialist, you will play a critical role in assessing the risk of individuals in the pretrial process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document and communicate risk assessment information
  • Maintain the quality of risk assessment data
  • Perform pretrial officer duties, including preparing affidavits
  • Conduct administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
  • Communicate risk assessment concepts and processes
  • Analyze and interpret data for trends affecting program outcomes
  • Process information by compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, and auditing
  • Provide statistical reports to other departments
  • Translate and explain information to stakeholders
  • Develop processes to monitor the validity of risk assessment
  • Implement risk assessment models or methodologies
  • Produce reports and presentations outlining findings and recommendations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 1 year of pretrial risk assessment experience, statistical analysis, and/or research experience
  • Ability to pass FBI clearance to obtain NCIC certification
  • Extensive knowledge of pretrial risk assessment methodology and research
  • Extensive knowledge of best practices in the field of pretrial services
  • Extensive knowledge of the Kentucky court system
  • Extensive knowledge of criminal history investigation at a nationwide level
Working Conditions:

Work is typically performed in detention centers and judicial center offices. May include nights, weekends, and holidays. Extensive travel will be required.
