This position is responsible for supervising a team of Child Protection Specialists who provide family-centered services within a trauma-informed system to ensure the safety, permanency, and well-being of children at risk of or who have been subjected to child maltreatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor Child Protection Specialists to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality services to children and families.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to child protection.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure a coordinated response to child maltreatment.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to Child Protection Specialists to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct investigations and assessments to determine the safety and well-being of children.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or psychology, or a directly related field.
  • Four years of experience working in child protection or a related field, including supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations related to child protection.
  • Ability to engage children and families to gather information and make accurate decisions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive working relationships with colleagues and community partners.
