Job Summary

Nemak USA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and management of safety programs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Safety Risk Assessments: Perform thorough safety risk and compliance evaluations to identify potential hazards and develop recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Loss Data Analysis: Review and analyze loss data to identify trends and patterns, and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
  • Collaboration with Facility Managers: Work closely with facility managers to address safety concerns and needs, and ensure compliance with regulatory codes and requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Identify and assist in the implementation of regulatory codes and requirements set by local, state, federal, and corporate policy.
  • Chemical Product Management: Participate in the reviews and monitoring of chemical product usage, storage, and transportation to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development and/or enhancement of new and existing HSE policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Develop and present health and safety training programs to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs safely.
  • Accident Investigations: Conduct and review investigations of accidents to identify root causes and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
  • Hazard Identification: Identify situations that may be a source of danger or pose a hazard to employees, and make recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Workers Compensation: Manage workers' compensation issues and return-to-work programs in cooperation with human resources.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in HSE-related field preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety laws and best practices, familiarity with manufacturing environment.
