Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at the Oskar Blues Taproom in Austin. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Manage cash transactions, including operating a cash register and handling customer payments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, utensils, and refrigerator.
  • Stock and maintain inventory of draft systems, beer, liquor, mixes, and other bar supplies.
  • Adhere to state liquor laws and CANarchy's RASP plan to ensure responsible guest consumption.
  • Demonstrate leadership and teamwork while working respectfully with all team members.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of all liquor laws and ability to work in compliance with them.
  • Skill in use of Aloha POS system.
  • Skill in interpersonal communication and ability to work with people.
  • Ability to work all days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to prioritize efficiently while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Ability to handle cash quickly and accurately.
  • Experience in dealing with difficult customers to resolution.
Physical & Mental Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the physical and mental strength and endurance to perform duties in a fast-paced environment, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position. The ability to frequently lift and move pounds is required. The candidate must be able to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
