YOUR ROLE AS A BEVERAGE SPECIALIST
Your day will commence with a thorough inspection of the bar to ensure readiness for our valued members. You will prepare garnishes, ingredients, and pre-mixed beverages, ensuring the bar is fully stocked for service. Throughout the day, you will interact with members, providing expert recommendations on food and drink selections, skillfully mixing and serving beverages, and delivering exceptional service that surpasses expectations. You will maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, adhering to all health regulations, and keeping accurate records to ensure stock availability. As the day concludes, you will meticulously clean and secure the bar, following established closing procedures, and ensuring all items are stored appropriately. You will play a vital role in supporting your colleagues and contributing to the seamless operation of club events and special occasions.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BEVERAGE SPECIALIST
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in bartending, restaurant, or barista roles (experience in a country club setting is a plus)
- Current TABC and Texas Food Handler certifications
- Strong knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
- Ability to craft both classic and innovative cocktails
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Capacity to remain composed in high-pressure situations
- Physical ability to lift 25 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods
Basic computer skills are preferred.
